OUR CLASSES Our 45 minute classes are held on Tuesday & Thursday daytime and Tuesday evenings. We begin each class with the child and parent getting their NAME TAGS and 10-15 minutes of FREE PLAY. This gives the children a chance to become familiar with their surroundings and allows a little extra time for late comers. CIRCLE TIME At this time we call everyone together in our circle area. We begin Circle Time with a Hello from our mascot, Mugsy the Dog and our Stretch Song. Circle activities include songs, finger plays and musical instruments. MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS Each week we introduce a different Musical Instrument. This activity helps to enhance the development of the child's natural rhythm, learn new sounds, develop hand-eye coordination and most importantly, Make a lot of Noise! OBSTACLE COURSE Circle Time ends with our Obstacle Course. The Obstacle Course enables the children to become more comfortable with our various pieces of equipment. Obstacle Course helps develop balance, color recognition, the understanding of simple concepts as up-down, in-out-through, and the hardest concept of all - waiting your turn! FREE PLAY At this time we encourage your child to explore and try new things. The main purpose is to socialize and Have Fun Together. PARACHUTE TIME The children join our circle area again on our colorful Parachute, for lots of Bubbles, a Parachute Ride and Songs. GOOD-BYES After Parachute, Mugsy the Dog comes back for his Good-Bye Dance and the children get their HAND STAMPS. This weekly routine helps the children to recognize that the class is over, and it's time to say Good-Bye. Classes are separated by age group. Please view Age Groups on the next page
